The Florida National Parks Association (FNPA) is an official non-profit partner of the National Park Service that supports educational, interpretive, historical, and scientific research activities in Florida’s National Parks —Biscayne, Dry Tortugas, and Everglades National Parks and Big Cypress National Preserve.  These Parks and Preserve encompass more than 2.5 million acres of unparalleled landscapes. From coral reefs to mangrove forests to freshwater sloughs, this mosaic of habitats provides a vital network for many rare and endangered species. By raising awareness and public understanding of these world-renowned natural and cultural resources, the FNPA increases public support for their long-term preservation and care.

Cooperating Associations, like the FNPA, are one of the oldest and most enduring partnerships of the National Park Service. The FNPA traces its roots to the Everglades Natural History Association, formed at Everglades National Park in 1951. Since its inception, the FNPA has grown to meet the evolving needs of the Parks and the visitors they serve. Today the FNPA works cooperatively across four Parks and Preserve to support the NPS in three main areas:

  1. Provide educational products and services to park visitors through retail sales across nine park stores and online shop. Shop FNPA's Official Online Store
  2. Deliver educational and experiential programs through our FNPA Institutes which foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the natural and cultural resources of our Parks and Preserve. Plan Your Visit
  3. Provide funding and philanthropic support for our Parks, including the Florida Bay Forever Specialty Plate that directly supports Everglades National Park Get Your Tag Today!

The Florida National Parks Association has provided more than $5.4 million in aid to the National Park Service areas of South Florida.
