Research is the key, and funding makes it possible.
The Childhood Cancer Project funds research focused solely on finding cures for rare, childhood and AYA cancers. Our aim is to fund research projects and to continue to expand our vast research network.
We recognize that our ability to fund research is limited by our physical and financial resources. Therefore, we aim to maximize the impact of our grants by funding encouraging research that is likely to win support from larger funding bodies. We believe there is great value in collaborative research and know that finding cures depends on the cooperation and collaboration of many experts.
Priorities:
Working with research teams to develop research ideas
Supporting proposals which are likely to win support from larger funding bodies
Encouraging collaboration between research groups
Encouraging interdisciplinary team work and partnership
Grant Descriptions
CLINICAL / TRANSLATIONAL grants that are aimed at research that is at the required point of development to be progressed from laboratory to patient
EARLY CAREERS FELLOWSHIP grants to develop researchers into a principle investigator
EXPLORER grants that allow researchers to undertake a more substantial project or theme of research
IDEA grants to support pilot research
We are dedicated to fighting rare childhood, adolescent and young adult cancers and our goal is to make a difference through research. We aim for a future without cancer. Our goal is to advance the current understanding of cancer biology and explore new ways to cure, control, and prevent disease.
